A BLUE MASTER BEDROOM

Hey Everyone! How was your Thanksgiving? I pray it was full of family, friends, food, and thanksgiving! I got to play lots of board games and eat way too many desserts. The diet starts Monday!!!

One of the projects I’ve wanted to do since we moved into our new house was to do something as an accent wall behind our bed in the master bedroom. We ended up just painting it a dark blue and I love how it makes the white moulding pop.

Here’s the before….before we moved the furniture into the room and changed the fan to something with a little bling bling.

The is the before. I thought it needed something to add a little personality.

I tried to start this project by myself. I couldn’t move the bed without help so I waited for the LOML to get home from work. I ended up just vacuuming and cleaning up all the dust bunnies behind all of the furniture. How does so much dirt accumulate in a year and a half??

After all the furniture was moved to the other side of the room, I tried trimming without taping. Is anyone out there as bad as I am at trimming without taping? It must be my ADHD but I don’t have the patience. I did such a crappy job, I ended up taping around the windows and moulding. Stop being lazy Linda!!

I used Valspar Chintz. I brought one of pillow shams to Lowe’s Home Improvement to pick a matching shade. I think I did pretty good if I do say so myself.

We painted two coats, waited a couple of hours, removed the painter’s tape and

We moved the furniture back, hung the wall hangings, made the bed and absolutely LOVE our new bedroom!!!! It feels so much warmer!!

Hope you’re enjoying your long weekend with family and fun times.

Daughter #2 is heading back to school today (insert sad face!) and we’ll be empty nesters again.

I love our home when it is filled with family and friends, laughter and conversation, and am very sad when the noise stops.

Still trying to get used to the quiet!

I’m done complaining!

I hope y’all have a great week. Come back soon to see our next project!

Love y’all,

Linda
