HAPPY BELATED VALENTINE’S DAY!!!
The LOML was born on Valentine’s day a bunch of years ago and I think it’s a very cool birthday.
Our new neighbors across the street were married on Valentine’s Day twenty eight years ago. Again, a very cool anniversary!
One evening the neighbor husband (we’ll call him Mr. N) came into our kitchen and told us he and his wife (Mrs. N) were going on a 7 day cruise for their anniversary. Did we want to come with them? Cool!! I’m not sure if he knew what he was getting himself into but “Heck, yea!”
We cruised with Carnival’s Celebration and we had some fun!!
The start of the cruise did not begin as planned. Carnival’s planned update to their IT system did not go as planned – All facial recognition was affected, so no disembarkation or embarkation – not only in Miami, but across their entire fleet!

I sent this picture to Daughter #2 to show her we still weren’t on the boat and she said, “That lady behind you looks really mad!” Her face was all of us!!
We finally boarded the ship about 4pm (only 5 hours late) and we went straight to our room to change for dinner. We got an ocean view stateroom which made the room bright and our views were beautiful!

Herminio worked hard all day to keep our rooms clean and stocked. He also made awesome towel animals that greeted us when we came back from a busy day of touristing.

The food is always delicious and abundant! If you want two lobster tails, you get two lobster tails!

The night we had lobster tail, I devoured it so fast I didn’t get a picture of it! But, trust me, it was delicious!!
To celebrate our friends’ anniversary and the LOML’s birthday we made reservations at Emeril’s restaurant on board the ship. The food was delicious and the company was even better!

Carnival also offers great shows, games, and entertainment!

Each port we embarked on was beautiful! We visited Grand Turk, Amber Cove, Nassau, and Celebration Key. The weather was perfect, the water was a bit chilly (yes, I am a whimp!), and the restaurants were yummy!

And when we were too exhausted from all the excitement and fun, we stayed in our room and watched movies and ordered room service.

I don’t know if I was just starving or what, but the french fries were the best tasting french fries EVER!!
There are photographers on the ship all over the place so we posed for a few. We do clean up pretty good if I do say so myself!

It was a fun week full of food, laughter, relaxation and great conversation.

Love y’all,
Linda
