THE PERFECT DAY ~ A Day on CocoCay Island

We are wrapping up our first cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas.

Our last day before pulling into Port Canaveral, Florida and heading home we’re spending on Royal Caribbean’s own island CocoCay for “The Perfect Day.”

It is a beautiful, sunny, warm day but we’re expecting rain later in the afternoon so we had a quick breakfast and headed off the boat.

The LOML grabbed this photo of me with no make-up. Thanks Sweetie!!!

We left the boat with lots of other people who were headed to exactly the same place we were going….to the pools.

Son #4 and Daughter #2 found some lounge chaises in the water. They’re so photogenic aren’t they?? 🙁

I laid out in the sun for a little while because the water was way too cold for me. I fell asleep and when I woke up, I walked around the pool and I should have gotten some pictures. The pool set up was beautiful. There was a bridge over the pool to a swim up bar. I was trying to find my family but couldn’t. I went back to my chair and waited for my missing people!!

When my family came back to our chairs, I found out I didn’t walk far enough around the humongous pool.

We had a yummy lunch at The Skipper’s Grill. It was a buffet of hot dogs, hamburgers, a taco bar, salad bar, soft serve ice cream and it was all yummy!!

When we headed to the beach, the place was packed so we had to walk for awhile to find 5 lounge chairs together. I definitely got my 10,000 steps today. We laid out enjoying the beautiful sunny day!

Behind me was a young boy playing with his trucks in the sand and he was explaining in detail to his parents what he was doing. Memories were running through my head of my kids when they were tiny and could entertain themselves with a truck and some dirt for hours! So precious!

Again, the water was way too cold for me.

Before leaving the island, we had to have some ice cream.

We headed back to the ship early so we could do things on the boat while most people were still on the island. That was a great tip from one of my friends.

Son #4 and Daughter #2 walked around the ship while Mom and Dad and Son #3 took a nap after the sun drained us of all our energy. Oh to be young again!!!

On the way to dinner, we got to enjoy this beautiful sunset.

Suraj’s last gift to us was this sweet heart towel!!

We took showers and got all dressed up for dinner.

Here’s our friend Suraj!! He was so kind to us!!

Here are the great guys who took care of us during all our meals in the main dining room, Edgar and Ketut. I can’t say enough good things about both of them. They knew what we wanted before we did!! They were so great!!!

Here’s Daughter #2 with her “extra” spaghetti with butter and parmesan cheese meal.

Royal Caribbean

I had shrimp (my favorite!),

Royal Caribbean

the LOML had carnitas with black beans,

Royal Caribbean

and Son #4 had all the “extra” veggie plates (he wasn’t sure if he had to eat them all!!).

Royal Caribbean

The staff sang and danced for us again. It was so fun!! Edgar was hilarious!!

Royal Caribbean

I never got to take a picture of Son #3’s plates because he was so far away!!

And the most important part of the dinner….

DESSERT!!!!

I know your mouths are watering!!!!

We were so sad that this was the last delicious dinner with these wonderful people!! We’ve had such a great time for this being our first cruise. We will definitely be doing this again and we would highly recommend to anyone and everyone. If you want to be spoiled, fed delicious food, relaxing or playing plenty of fun games, and watch great shows, this is the place for you!!!

Thank you Royal Caribbean and Mavis Davis for helping us get everything together and especially for all the travel tips!!

Love y’all,

Linda
