BYE BYE FISHY BATHROOM ~ Hello beautiful and elegant!

Hey people on the East coast ~ how has this crazy weather affected you?

In NC, we’ve been homebound for almost two weeks with all this snow and ice.

The positive of being trapped relaxing inside….I’ve gotten a lot of work done on the laundry room and our second bathroom.

The second bathroom, also known as the boys’ bathroom, has been decorated in a fish motif for the whole time we’ve lived in this house. Now that I think about it, our old house had the same fish bathroom. I remember the two oldest boys helping me paint the blue walls almost twenty years ago. WOW!! Time flies when you’re getting old having fun!

The walls are bright blue and there’s a fish shower curtain and fish accessories.

Say bye bye!!

This past week I painted the walls with Valspar Moon Sail which lightened up the whole room immensely. You can see a sneak preview in the pictures below but I’m not going to show you the whole room until it’s completely finished.

I also painted the bathroom vanity with Valspar Courtyard Shadow. I added crystal drawer pulls for a little bling bling.

I bought the shower curtain at Walmart.

As I was up-close and personal with the trim, I saw how roughed up it can get with six kids. So I also painted the trim and inside doors a bright white. WOW, what a difference!

I’m also in the process of painting all the interior doors black. Remember my beautiful laundry room door?

And I painted the bathroom door.

We’re building a cabinet for in between the sinks, hanging a shelf above the commode, and trimming the mirrors. Can’t wait to show y’all the finished product.
