I bought these great letters on one of my fun trips to Hobby Lobby.
I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them. I had many ideas running around in my head. Paint them black. Too boring. Paint a pattern or stencil on them. Maybe. It just didn't get my heart racing so I put them aside and waited for an inspiration.
I'm always looking on Pinterest and yesterday I found this idea.
I think it will look great in the laundry room.
The first step was finding some of my favorite pictures. I then placed them on the letters to see what would fit and if I had enough pictures. It was challenging to cover all of each letter. I could see some of the letter coming through so I painted the letters black so it would blend better.
I spray painted with three coats of satin black.
I then brushed Modge Podge on each letter and attached the photos exactly as I had organized them earlier.
I carefully trimmed the excess that was hanging over.
Another coat of Modge Podge and they were finished.
A fun little project that took just a few hours to do.
Can't wait to hang it up in the laundry room.
