HOW TO SAVE MONEY AT THE GROCERY STORE

Is anyone else overjoyed that it is Friday?

Any plans for the weekend?

At some point this weekend, just like every weekend, we will head to the grocery store.

We have a large family which means our grocery bill is pretty large. Because of that, we’re always looking for ways to save money.

Today’s prompt is

HOW DO YOU SAVE MONEY ON YOUR GROCERY BILL?

We have a great Walmart Neighborhood Market near us where we get most of our groceries. We find their prices are lower than other grocery stores in our area.

A few years ago, Son #3, when he was away at college, learned that Walmart had a program called Savings Catcher where after you shop, you take and submit a picture of the barcode on your Walmart receipt and Walmart searches to see if any of the items you bought can be found elsewhere at a cheaper price. Then they reimburse you!! How cool is that??!!

Since we joined their program, it has changed a little bit. Instead of scanning your receipt, you create a Walmart Pay account, scan the QR code on the checkout display and if there’s a cheaper price, they will give you a credit that can be applied to your next purchase. It’s so easy and it’s really free money. They do all the work and you get the rewards!! Last year we made over $260 – Can’t beat it!!!

Enjoy your Friday!

Love y’all,

Linda
