MAKING THE OUTSIDE BEAUTIFUL AGAIN

We did some gardening outside recently.

Remember the pallet fence we built around our air conditioning unit last year?

We tried to replant some bushes from the front of our house to around the fence. They didn’t like that very much so they died.

This spring I wanted to find a flowering bush that would add some color at least one season every year.

I went to Costco with a friend who knows her plants (unlike Ms. Brown thumb here) and we found some Knock Out Rose bushes that were blooming beautiful fuschia flowers.

I used the old holes from the poor dead bushes I got rid of earlier, added some potting soil, and placed the bushes into the holes and watered like crazy. Luckily, we have had lots of rain lately so my new bushes are happy!

We also added some pretty color around the house along with some new mulch.

A sweet friend gave us the beautiful bird rain catcher for our anniversary.

And I finally get to display Daughter #2’s peacock I found at Hobby Lobby last year.

Go see her beautiful peacock bedroom!

Since we’ve gotten so much rain lately, the bushes and everything else started blooming.

So many pretty colors!!!!

I’m going to enjoy it all until the 90 degree summer heat comes upon us.

Thank you for coming by. Please come back and visit. I have many projects in the planning stages.

1.  Second floor hallway makeover. Inspiration here.

2.  Outdoor sitting area.

3.  Restaining oak wood floors darker.

Now just to start one of them.
