OFFICE REDESIGN

What a great and busy day today!
We began my friend Miss T’s office redesign today. We’re working on a two story building with an upstairs that has a
  KITCHENETTE
HALF BATH
MISS T’S OFFICE
THERAPY ROOM
and a WAITING ROOM
The girls are organizing the books in the bookshelf.
The whole family minus two (one’s away at school and one had to work) went to Miss T’s place where we emptied, removed, cleaned, pulled out, filled in, taped, painted, ate, played, planned, visited and I could go on and on.
1. WE EMPTIED OUT TWO OF THE ROOMS IN THE SPACE.
We took out everything from the office and the therapy room so we could paint the walls and remove all the carpet before bamboo wood flooring is laid down in the next couple of days.
2.  WE REMOVED THE CARPET AND PADDING.
DURING
We pulled up the carpet, followed by the padding. There were tack strips that bordered the whole room  that we had to pull up. We then had to remove 200,000 staples throughout the room that held the padding down.
Son #3 did a great job! We were also very lucky to have Miss T’s two kids helping out.
“MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK” and I’m all into light work!!
Here’s Miss T’s son (B) using a crowbar to pull up the MANY staples! He’s got the patience of a saint 🙂
AFTER
Here’s Son #4 finishing up with the staples in the office.
3. WE CLEANED ALL THE WALLS AND BASEBOARDS.
4. WE FILLED IN ALL THE HOLES IN THE WALLS.
5. WE PAINTED THE WALLS.
When Miss T had the building built, she had a painter paint the crown molding in the whole building purple.
I wanted to paint all the trim white and have accessories in each room with purple and teal (Miss T’s favorite colors) but Miss T wanted to keep the purple crown molding. So we painted the wall with Valspar Ultra Premium with primer in a soft gloss finish. I didn’t get the color name but it was a shade of lilac.

AFTER
Miss T lookin’ good in purple!! I think she was right leaving the crown molding purple.
Here’s B giving Vanna White a run for her money!!
6. WE ATE PIZZA.
7. THE GUYS AND GALS NEEDED A BREAK SO THEY PLAYED WITH THE DOGS.

8. WE PLANNED WHAT FURNITURE AND WALL HANGINGS WE NEEDED FOR EACH ROOM.

9. WE WENT TO THE DUMP WITH ALL THE GARBAGE.
WHAT A BUSY BUT GREAT DAY! We got a lot done but still have a lot to go. I’ll keep y’all updated.
Hope you’re enjoying your weekend.
Tomorrow we’re resting!
Love y’all,Linda
