Our large family vacation to Disney World/Universal Studios has been a blast!!

You can read about our day in Universal Studios here.

You can read about our day at Magic Kingdom here.

Today we headed to Hollywood Studios.

The first thing we all wanted to do was ride the Toy Story Mania! ride. It’s a shooting game that keeps your score and accuracy so we all try to beat each other’s score.

Lifeguard Louie

They used every game and toy you can think of as decor around the ride. It was so cute!! The LOML insisted on taking this picture because our last name is Louie. Any resemblance?

All the kids rode the Slinky Dog Dash Roller Coaster. We got a great video of them all. It’s funny to see how some of them are posing for the camera and some are face down, eyes closed praying to God they don’t die!!

While we were waiting to see the kids on the ride, these guys walked by a few times.

Everyone went to Rock ‘n Roller Coaster while the LOML and me and Daughter #2 watched Voyage of the Little Mermaid.

It’s a very sweet re-enactment of the movie and the girl who plays Ariel had such a beautiful voice.

Then we headed to lunch at the Sunset Ranch Market where we had personal pan pizzas and a Caesar salads. The pizzas were yummy!

Son #1 and his sweet girlfriend planned on leaving after lunch to return home and back to work. My back was absolutely killing me all day so I had them take me back to the hotel where I hugged them goodbye then I applied ice to my back, took some Tylenol, did some laundry, took a shower and took a much needed nap.

The family did Star Tours The Adventure Continues. It’s a 3D ride where you’re hunting the bad guy who is someone on your ship. It ended up being Son #4.

After Star Wars, they headed back to Toy Story Mania! to improve on their shooting skills.

They wanted to do the Slinky Dog Dash Roller Coaster again but the wait was too long so they headed home.

After my nap, I was feeling much better so when everyone got home we headed out to the Perkins Restaurant. A little side story about Perkins. All the kids grew up eating at Perkins almost every Sunday night after church. Until it closed a few years ago!!! Some of my kids are still in mourning! While we were driving around one night, we saw the Perkins and got all excited! I can eat breakfast any time of the day every day.

Tomorrow we decided is going to be our rest day. We are all exhausted. There are seven pools where we’re staying so I think we’ll visit a few of them.

Here’s another before and after. The left picture is MGM Studios in 2007 and the right is now.

Come back to see what we do on our day off from the parks. I think there’s going to be some swimming, eating, video game playing, and laughing!

Love y’all,

Linda
