PICTURES ARE THE WINDOW TO THE SOUL ~ of the family!

I LOVE using old and discarded things as creative decorations.

I also LOVE pictures. I love creating photo albums, cool photo gallery walls, unique pictures inside cool frames.

So when I see an AWESOME picture frame like this

I copy, copy, copy!!!!

On one of my many trips to the ReStore I found this six-pane weathered window for $5.

I cleaned it up, painted it with some white trim paint, and filled in some holes around the window panes.

I found a neat saying at AC Moore awhile back, and kept it for just an occasion as this. Do y'all do that? Buy things you love but you have no idea how you're going to use it until…

BAM! The lightbulb goes off in your ADD brain and it's perfect for a certain project.

I found three of my favorite family photos from #1)when we first brought the girls home, #2)about four years later, #3)and then our most recent family picture.

Put all these things together, and I got this!!

I love how it turned out. It's so pretty!!!

I'll hang it above the fireplace mantel when it's completed.

Tomorrow, we have a gymnastic birthday party for my baby girl. What do y'all have planned for the weekend?

Happy Friday!

  1. Very cool idea…I have a couple of old windows/doors that I want to do something like this with…how did you attach the pictures?

    Thanks : )

    • Thanks Laura~I have so many fun ideas using these windows. Now, if I could only find some windows!!! To attach the pictures to the windows, I just used small pieces of tape so you can barely see it. Hope your New Year is going well! ~Linda
