RESTORING STUFF FROM THE ReSTORE

How was everyone’s long weekend?

Mine was full of fun shopping at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. I love that place!!! Not only is it full of wonderful projects waiting to be done, you can’t beat the prices, and the people who work there are so friendly and helpful! Love them!!
Because I’m doing musical rooms in our house
1) Son #3 is moving into Son #1’s old room
2) Daughter #2 is moving into Son #2’s old room
and one that I haven’t shared yet
3) Son #4 finally has his own room so we’re giving him a bigger bed (twin to a queen)
I have a long list of things I need to make each room absolutely
  PERFECT!

Our first finds were two of these night stands. They have a little wear and tear but they are very sturdy. One will be painted teal and will go into Daughter #2’s peacock room. The other will be painted black and will go into Son #3’s NC State (red and black) room.
This sweet little antique purple chair was across the aisle just talking to me. Does that ever happen to you? I’ll show you where it’s going to go in a minute.
This chandy is in good shape and will be painted teal. I just ordered some bling bling to make it look even fancier. Can’t wait to show you!
This dresser was on a cart in the middle of the couch aisle. I loved it but was afraid someone nabbed it first so we kept walking around shopping and then peaking to see if the “owner” had taken it. After awhile, a very nice salesperson asked if he could help us with anything. You sure can young man! We pointed out the dresser and he said he didn’t think anyone was going to buy it so it was all ours. As he was moving the dresser, he found out that the top of the dresser opens! It can hold small things like jewelry or papers. Whatever a little girl would need to store. It’s pretty cool! One of the drawers falls out instead of rolls out so we’ll have to fix that. Other than that, it is in great condition!
I’m also a lover of all things Craigslist so I was on there a lot looking for things to complete all these projects. I found this:
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PIECE OF FURNITURE!!!!
Picture it teal, inside a little girl’s closet with the sweet little purple chair in front of it. Can you see it? So sweet!
Watch this
On the left are picture frames. Four of them surround the mirror. I’m thinking of black and white pictures of Daughter #2. On the right is the mirror opened. Inside, hooks for necklaces and bracelets and on the bottom is a space for rings. It just gets better and better!!
And last but definitely not least is this beautiful baby! It’s a daybed/trundle. Because Daughter #2’s room is pretty small, we’re thinking having a second bed is good, hiding it is even better. I’m planning on painting the bed white.
LOVE IT!!
We had a fun and exciting weekend finding all these wonderful treasures.
How was yours?
Love y’all,
Linda

  1. Oooh, I’m just giddy for you, Linda! My ReStore hardly ever has furniture (but always has lots of other cool stuff). I can’t wait to see the transformations. I just followed you in my reader!
