We've been so busy lately that our fireplace mantel project has been stuck looking like this
FOREVER!!!!!!
So this weekend, the LOML mudded it and me and Son #3 sanded it….TWICE! My arms are killing me! There was a thick layer of dried mud on everything! YUCK!
I painted the space with two coats of primer.

We were having company Thursday so instead of killing myself and trying to finish the fireplace mantel, I painted it so it didn't look like a construction site.
Hopefully, this weekend, we'll start working on building the fireplace mantel. I can't wait. I'm so excited. I haven't had a fireplace mantel for 12 years. I'm doing the happy dance!
This past week we celebrated two important dates. Mother's Day is a big day for me because I absolutely LOVE being a mom. The other reason is I get to think about my mom who I lost 7 years ago.
I hope y'all loved on your moms last weekend.
The second important date was May 16th, our 26th wedding anniversary. I am far beyond blessed to share everything (my life, raising our six children, hurts, money problems, blessings) with the LOML. Through the good and bad (and yes there has been bad) I couldn't imagine going through life without him.
