Today’s prompt is something I struggle with all the time.
DO YOU LIKE TO DO THINGS YOURSELF, OR ARE YOU GOOD AT DELEGATING?
Do you know someone who is a type A personality who somewhere deep down inside believes they are the only one who can do a certain task correctly? I’m definitely NOT that person.
I found from the experience of being a mom, room mom for my kids’ classrooms, volunteer at church or anything where I was in charge, I was TERRIBLE at asking for help. It isn’t that I think I can do a better job as much as it’s me not wanting to “inconvenience” people. Which means I end up doing everything. One year I was room mom for three of my kids at the same time ~ I almost ran away from home I was so stressed!!
Now, if a fellow room mom or anyone asks me to do something or donate anything, I’m the first to volunteer. I’m just not good at the in-charge thing. Weird, huh??
Please tell me that some of you are the same way. Make me feel better about my shortcomings, okay?
