SAYING GOODBYE TO THE TREE MURAL!

Hey Everybody! How’s everyone’s week going? The LOML is in China this week and I’m not used to it. He travels about once every decade. While he’s gone, I’m getting some stuff done.

I’m trying to take advantage of the warm weather (minus the pollen…it’s killing me!) so I got outside and did some mowing, weeding and planning. I want to change up our color scheme on the front of the house this spring so I had to get approval from our HOA. When I do, there will be a paint brush in my hand!

And since the kids are all growing up so fast, I’m a little behind with making their bedrooms more to their liking so……….

it has been six years since I shared the tree mural I painted on the girls’ wall in their bedroom.

I apologize for the quality of the picture!

Since Daughter #2 moved into her Peacock Room (5 years ago!), I’ve wanted to paint over the tree mural.

It took guests coming to visit and stay in the room for me to get off my behind and get it done!

After I painted over the tree mural, I rounded up all my favorite pictures of Daughter #1 and I asked her what she wanted to put up on her walls and I made a photo gallery.

I changed out the table with the table cloth for a goodwill find that I painted the same color as the wall. You can see it here.

I kept the shelves that used to be the branches of the tree. I just added some new pretties on them.

I hung a cork bulletin board on one wall for her to hang anything she wanted. The OCD in me goes into a cold sweat every time I look at it 🙁 I glued her name in wooden letters on the bottom.

And of course, growing up with a whole bunch of brothers, I have to show her some girl power!!

After her room was done, Daughter #1 told me she loves her new room. SCORE!!

The other bed (the one on the left) is Daughter #2s old bed. I love the bones of the bed so I was thinking of maybe making it a bench for Daughter #1s room. We’ll see.

And my favorite….the before & after!

Hope y’all are having a great Wednesday!

Love y’all,

Linda
